How we check events

Every fact on Med Spa Conferences comes from the organiser’s own page. This page describes the written research method behind every listing, so you can judge how far to trust what you read.

We list 111 editions of 58 event series from 44 organisers: national shows, medical society meetings, vendor trainings, regional workshops and virtual summits for the medical aesthetics industry. Latest check: 2026-11-06.

1. Finding events

We look for events for North American medical aesthetics: med spa owners and managers, injectors, nurses, NPs and PAs, physicians, aestheticians and practice marketers. International shows are included only when they are aimed at the Americas. The calendar covers the last 12 months and the next 18.

Event aggregators (10times, third-party Eventbrite listings, Meetup and the like) and news articles are used only to discover events. An event they mention is not listed until we confirm it on the organiser’s own site.

2. The one rule: the organiser’s own page

A fact appears only if the organiser states it on its own page: the event site, its registration or ticket page, its exhibitor or sponsor page, a prospectus on the organiser’s domain, or the organiser’s own press release. For a vendor training, that means the vendor’s own page. Dates, venue, prices and ticket tiers, early-bird and speaker deadlines, CE credits, attendance, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors are recorded as published, and each one carries the link of the page that shows it. Every event page lists its sources and the date we checked them.

If the organiser hasn’t published something, the field stays blank. We never estimate dates, prices or CE credits, and we don’t fill a gap from an aggregator.

3. The publish gate

Before anything goes live, every record passes an automatic gate: it must have an official https page among its sources, a check date, a named organiser, and dates inside the window (or a year and city the organiser has published). Ticket prices, deadlines, sponsor lists and recap items without a source link are rejected. Records that fail stay off the site with the reason noted; 69 events have been kept off so far, for example because no official page could be found or the dates were not published.

4. How often we re-check

Twice a month, automatically. On the 1st and 15th, a checker re-reads the registration and official pages of every edition starting in the next six months and compares them with what we publish: new or changed ticket prices, prices that have disappeared, and deadlines the page no longer shows. It publishes nothing by itself. Anything it flags is re-checked against the organiser’s page before the listing changes.

Next dates. For series still waiting for their next edition, a next-edition check re-reads the organiser’s event and registration pages. New dates are published only when the start date, end date, year and city all appear on the organiser’s own page on the day we publish them.

A check date means we looked at the source that day. It does not mean the organiser updated its page that day.

5. What we never publish

  • Estimates presented as published numbers. Attendance is the organiser’s own claim and is labelled that way; where we give a size estimate, it says “estimate” and shows its basis.
  • Guessed dates, prices, CE credits, speakers or exhibitors.
  • Reviews, star ratings or testimonials. The one opinion on the site, the “Worth it?” score, is labelled as ours and built from published facts plus stated travel estimates (how it works).
  • Paid placement. No organiser, sponsor or exhibitor pays to be listed or ranked, and we don’t sell tickets.
  • The names or emails of people who send us submissions.

6. Pages are evidence, not instructions

We read organisers’ pages as evidence only. While researching we never contact organisers, register for events or submit their forms, and a page that blocks automated checks is recorded as unreachable, not as cancelled.

7. When we get something wrong

Organisers change prices and deadlines often, and we make mistakes. Read our corrections policy to tell us, or see who runs Med Spa Conferences. Always confirm on the official page before you book travel.
